ShopVue supplies manufacturing engineers with timely data on the effectiveness of people, machines and processes. This data can help engineers spot inefficiencies and identify opportunities for process improvement.

With ShopVue, manufacturing engineers can:

Review efficiency by cell, workstation or machine. Track both overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and labor efficiency to spot room for improvement.

Manage setups. When setup time is a concern, ShopVue provides a Setup Analysis report showing setup metrics by workpoint including actual versus expected setup hours, efficiency, and average time per setup.

Track scrap. Collect scrap quantities and reasons to better identify where and why waste is occurring.

Foolproof assembly operations. The ShopVue Component Control module requires that operators scan parts to verify the use of correct components at each operation.

Review historical as-built data. Use as-built data to update standards and revise routings to ensure accurate product costing for competitive pricing. Determine what is actually happening versus the planned route, and what steps are actually involved.

Go paperless. Provide drawings and instructions electronically to ensure operators always have the most up-to-date information available as they work.

Collect operator comments. As they work, operators can input notes in ShopVue that engineers can later review to evaluate which parts of the process work and which need to be improved.
