Are your factory operations "machine centric"?
Do you have machines that are critical - if one's down, there's a major
impact on workflow? Are you more concerned with tracking machine time
rather than labor time? Do you need to develop and measure both labor
and machine standards? Do you have separate systems that are costly to
maintain and not easily reconciled?
If yes, you'll be excited to hear that ShopVue has a new
add-on called Machine Tracking. With little or no extra effort on the
part of the Operator, Machine Tracking was designed to provide an integrated
approach to the collection, statusing and historical reporting of this
important information.
Machine Tracking supports both Attended Operations and Unattended Operations.
Attended Operations require that an Operator
always be present while the machine is running. In Attended Operations,
machine information is automatically derived as a byproduct of the Operator
doing his normal labor reporting.
Unattended Operations don't require constant
monitoring. In this case, ShopVue collects machine information based on
Pure Machine Transactions. Pure Machine Transactions can run across shift
boundaries and can be started/ stopped by different Operators.
Feature Functions
- Optimized User Interface Reduces entry by allowing Operator to "inherit"
one or multiple jobs (Orders, Operations, etc.) that were already running
from previous shift
- Real-time Status Display Shows current status of each machine: scheduled
idle, running, down, maintenance in progress and awaiting work
- Individual Machine Schedules Store "scheduled idle" time
and consider this when calculating utilizations and other metrics
- Machine Timepoint Table Creates a record for each change in state
over the life of the machine.
- Is specifically optimized to support straight-forward development
of custom reports and graphs.
- Idle Time Suppression Suppresses small intervals of idle time that
would otherwise cause too jittery a status display (and unnecessary
alarms)
- Pre-packaged Reports Downtime Pareto Report helps you analyze downtime
occurrences by reason code
- Machine Utilization Report shows labor and machine efficiencies based
on what was on machine during chosen period.
- Machine History Report gives a pictorial view of machine state over
a chosen period.
Benefits:
- Less Operator timeat terminal, reduced training
- Quicker reaction toproblems like breakdowns
- Custom reports inhours versus days
- Informationessential to process improvement
- Data to supportPreventative Maintenance schedules and machine overhaul/
replacementdecisions
