ShopVue is a pass through data collection application. All
edits and changes to inventory and work orders are done in the MAPICS inventory
database. There is no duplication of data and no delay between transactions
and updates.
Key Transactions include:
- Location-to-Location move
- Miscellaneous receipt of inventory
- Miscellaneous issue inventory
- Purchase Order receipts
- Purchase Order dispositions
- Issue material to a Pick list
- Move material by Pull List
- Ship against sales order (pick list)
- Enter physical inventory counts
- Enter cycle count results
- Issue (unplanned) material to a WO
- Shop floor material dispositions
- Material Issue to Work Order
For each transaction on the handheld device, the updates
occur in realtime in the equivalent tables within MAPICS. The majority
of inventory transaction updates occur in the Manufacturing Central>>Inventory>>Material
Movement Tables within MAPICS. In addition, updates to other tables include:
“Inventory Part Management”, “Part on Hand Inquiry”
and “Receive Items from Orders” to name a few.
